Professional Highlights:
Miho Sato received a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance (with a minor in piano and music education) from Musashino Music University in Tokyo, Japan (1999). She later received both an Undergraduate Certificate (2001) and a Master of Music Therapy (2010) from Shenandoah University. Sato is also a certified teacher for an early childhood music and movement program Music Together.
In 2004, Sato started and continues to direct a music therapy program at the Community Music School of the Piedmont. This program has been serving people of all ages with or without special needs. Her clinical focus is supporting sensory processing/integration in each individual.
Together with her husband, Dr. Alán Saucedo, a cellist, Sato has two children ages 10 and 13. She enjoys every minute of family time filled with music and laughter.
